Greg Norman Collection Promotes Jim Annese To Fill New Golf Sales Manager Role

NEW YORK, N.Y. -- Jim Annese has been named Golf Sales Manager of Greg Norman Collection, effective immediately. Annese previously served as the brand's National Account Manager handling key retail accounts and NFL/NBA licensees.

  • "As a result of our ongoing five-year success story, specifically at the green grass level, it was necessary to add another managerial role within our golf sales force, and Jim was the obvious choice for the job," says Mike Elliott, Vice President of Golf Sales. "His extensive knowledge of apparel paired with his passion for golf will certainly complement what our reps have established in the field, and I anticipate our customer relationships will grow even further."

  • Greg Norman Collection's golf business has doubled in size since 2002. Annese is responsible for managing the business to its full potential and will report directly to Elliott. In his new role, Annese will maintain and substantially grow the company's account base in the green grass channel. He will also play a large role in managing the company's national golf sales force, which recently expanded with three new hires listed below plus their respective territories:

    • Alex Glaza, Upstate and Western New York
    • Kristin Schultz, South Texas, Houston, San Antonio
    • Oliver Thomson, Arkansas, Louisiana, Missouri, Central and Western Tennessee

    Annese has 25 years of experience in the apparel business holding positions like National Sales Manager for Perry Ellis prior to joining Greg Norman Collection over four years ago.

    In other news, the Company named Matt Fleming its 2006 Golf Salesperson of the Year. With the Collection since June of 2005, Matt has more than doubled his business in Northern California and Northern Nevada in the past 18 months.
