GREG NORMAN TURF COMPANY

Established in 1995, Greg Norman Turf Company licenses proprietary turfgrasses for golf courses, athletic fields and home lawns. GNTC owns the exclusive rights for GN-1 hybrid bermudagrass, which has been its main product.

GN-1 is recognized as a premier golf and athletic field grass used throughout the warm season areas of the United States. A partial list of the facilities that use GN-1 include: Ravens Stadium in Baltimore, Md., Turner Stadium in Atlanta, Ga.; The Medalist Golf Club in Hobe Sound, Fla.; TPC at Sugarloaf in Duluth, Ga.; The Bridges at Casino Magic in Bay St. Louis, Miss.; The Forest Country Club, in Ft. Myers, Fla; Royal Poinciana in Naples, Fla.; and Money Hill Plantation in Covington, La.

It also was the turf of choice for Super Bowl XXXIII in Miami and XXXV in Tampa, the 1999 World Series and the 2000 Summer Olympic Games at Stadium Australia.

GNTC has several top quality turf producers throughout the United States who are licensed growers of GN-1. These include South Florida Sod, Inc. in Florida, Oakland Turf farm in North Carolina, Pacific Sod in California, Turfgrass America in Georgia, New Mexico, Oklahoma and Texas, and Western Sod in Arizona.

GNTC has also introduced a new zoysiagrass, GN-Z , that is already considered the premier zoysiagrass in Florida. This new variety is creating much excitement with its ability to handle Florida conditions that have always been difficult on other zoysia varieties. With a texture and feel of greengrass, it is already in high demand with landscape architects and landscape contractors.

Greg Norman Turf Company is a charter member of the Southern Seed Certification Association.

Medalist Golf Club:

"Our members insist that the golf course stay in top form all year. In South Florida, it is not unusual to have high temperatures with little or no rain, not to mention the occasional frost. Even under these harsh conditions, GN-1 turf allows us to provide a golf course our members can be proud of and one I'm proud to say it is as thick and green as any in South Florida."
