CureSearch National Childhood Cancer Foundation

September Is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month

September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month and a time to focus on the issues of childhood cancer and the critical need for funding for childhood cancer research.

CureSearch National Childhood Cancer Foundation is gaining support in Congress for the Conquer Childhood Cancer Act. But we're not there yet. We continue to remain vigilant in our efforts to secure passage of this important landmark legislation and inform decision makers about the urgency for funding.

In an effort to show the world the real faces of childhood cancer, two moms have produced a powerful and emotional video on YouTube. The story of the journey of these little heroes is compelling and gives a voice to the thousands of children and their families who face a diagnosis of childhood cancer each year.

Working together, we will reach the day when every child with cancer is guaranteed a cure.

Greg Norman, a World Golf Hall of Fame member, founded the Merrill Lynch Shootout in 1989 to raise money and awareness for CureSearch National Childhood Cancer Foundation. With help from Merrill Lynch, additional corporate partners, players, volunteers and patrons, the Shootout has raised more than $10 million to help fund pediatric cancer research.

Norman, Honorary Trustee of CureSearch National Childhood Cancer Foundation, is a loyal and committed supporter of childhood cancer research. CureSearch is fortunate to have Norman and his company, Great White Shark Enterprises, working with us to make childhood cancer a national priority.
