PORT HUGHES, South Australia - 'The Great White Shark', Greg Norman, circled the PGA-standard golf course he is designing at The Dunes Port Hughes in a helicopter before landing and meeting with project's developers.

The Australian golfing legend inspected the first nine holes currently being shaped before mingling with invited guests on-site to update them about his design plans.

"It's looking fantastic," Norman said.

"A lot of people around the world don't know where Port Hughes, South Australia, is but a lot of people here should be very proud about what's going on here."

The 18-hole, links-style course will be Norman's first in the state; it is anticipated the tees, fairways and greens for the first nine will be ready by the end of the year.
