Former World No. 1 Greg Norman to Play Omega European Masters

Tournament officials have announced that Greg Norman, who for many years was one of the leaders in international professional golf, is returning to Switzerland and the plateau of Crans-Montana to compete in the 2010 Omega European Masters. The event will be staged September 2-5, 2010 at the famed Golf Club Crans-sur-Sierre.

Norman, has won 91 professional professional events around the world, including 20 U.S. PGA TOUR titles, participated several times in the Swiss Open at Crans Montana in the 70s and 80s with his best result a 3rd place finish in 1980. He last appeared at the event was in 1995.

South African Louis Oosthuizen, winner of the 2010 Open Championship at St. Andrews has also committed to the event.

The Omega European Masters is one of the premier stops on golf's European Tour, and in 2009 became the first event in Europe to be co-sanctioned by the Asian Tour.
