Mailbag: The 2009 Presidents Cup

- Just wanted to say, although someone had to lose, it was a great display of golfing talent and sportsmanship. Both captains are very gracious men, class, acts, and true sportsmen. As exciting as it was for me to watch Fred, Tiger, and the rest of team USA win, it was just as hard to watch you and your team suffer the lose. Hope to see you leading the way in Australia. Good health to you.
- Linda, Gretna, LA, USA
- Hey Greg, I felt you led your team with insight and tenacity. Nothing more could be asked of the Captain.
- Doug, Athens, GA
- Not the result us Aussies/ Internationals were hoping for, nevertheless, we have Royal Melbourne to look forward too. Once again Greg, you were gracious in defeat when showing great sportsmanship towards Fred Couples. I hope you continue to waive the aussie flag for many years to come. Thanks for all the great memories... I wish you all the best for the future.
- Carl, Perth, Australia
- Bad luck Greg, but you gave it your all...good luck with the recovery and everything else... Cheers,

- Greg - Good call by Goosen to have Leonard putt the ball. We all want to see good golf and have close matches and want all of you to have fun. The competition is great and we don't want anyone to make it a runaway. Sunday should be really good if it's anything like today. Wanted to come down to Harding Park seeing it was so close, but actually you can see more on T.V. Good luck to all, including the Americans.
- Linette, Sacramento, CA. U.S.A.
- Good luck Greg!! Hope to see you playing soon too!
- Jason, Dublin, Ireland
- Ishikawa of Japan is a gutsy call I thought, but kid's doing very well this year. I hope it pays off. Good luck Captain!
- Eiji, La Mirada, CA
- Welcome back to the action Greg... we all know how much you want this to be a great contest and hopefully a great result for us non-Yanks... Following things until now it's clear your preparation has been thorough, diligent and meticulous, here's hoping it pays off! Good on ya for picking Adam, I hope his true blue, dinky di spirit shows and he proves what a good pick it was. This Sunday is the most joyous day of the Jewish calendar, it is called the 'Great Day of Joy' amongst the 'Days of Joy'...I hope for you and the awesome International team that tomorrow, Friday and Saturday are all 'days of joy' and that Sunday will be THE GREAT DAY OF JOY! Carn the Internationals and Carn the Shark!
- Rabbi Dave, Spring Valley, NY
