GNC To Sponsor Club Pro Championship | April 27, 2005 |
Turning Stone Resort & Casino in Verona, N.Y., has been named the host of
The 39th PGA Club Professional Championship, the showcase event for PGA
Professionals, which will expand to 312 players, June 22-25, 2006, and will
feature a purse of $500,000.
The nation's premier PGA Professionals will compete at Turning Stone's
Atunyote Golf Club and Shenendoah Golf Club. The CPC field will play one
round each on the two courses, with the final 36 holes contested at
Atunyote Golf Club.
The 39th PGA Club Professional Championship will be presented by Titleist,
FootJoy and Cobra; Buick and Club Car. The Greg Norman Collection is the
Official Golf Apparel of the CPC, while The Golf Channel is an exclusive
media partner and The PGA Tour a contributing partner. |

Harlem Children's Zone Auction | April 21, 2005 |
Calling it a "powerful beacon of light shedding rays of hope" throughout
Harlem, former President Bill Clinton helped open the Harlem Children's
Zone headquarters, a $41 million building that will house administrative
offices, a charter school, a community center and a medical and dental
clinic.

children and families in some of New York City's most devastated
neighborhoods.

Medallist Plan Approved | April 14, 2005 |
Greg Norman has been given a tee time for his first foray into the
Victorian property market. Medallist Developments has unveiled plans for a
large golf development at Cranbourne, and authorities have finally given it
the green light. The project will comprise about 500 lots, a clubhouse and
a Norman-designed 18-hole championship course. The project is Medallist's
first in Victoria. |

QGU Announces Mid-Amateur Championship | April 10, 2005 |
The Queensland Golf Union has announced that the Inaugural Queensland Mid-Amateur Championship would be conducted at Pelican Waters (at Caloundra on the Sunshine Coast) in August 2005.
The Mid-Amateur Championship will be open to male players, aged 30-54 years, on handicaps of 9 or better, and will be played from Sunday 21st - Tuesday 23rd August. The format will be 54 hole stroke play - 18 holes each day.
Pelican Waters will provide a suitable challenge to the players over the three rounds of the competition. The Greg Norman-designed layout has hosted a number of major professional tournament in recent times, including the Australian Senior PGA Championship, currently under way.
