Junior Golf In Australia Thriving | January 19, 2007 |
It's great to see Australia's top golfers still remember where they got their start in the sport. There is now a Stuart Appleby Golf Foundation in Victoria promoting golf to the many aspiring youngsters who want to follow in his footsteps.
The Greg Norman Foundation had record numbers at its most prestigious event, and trophies were presented by Charlie Earp, who guided Norman during the early part of his distinguished career. |

Norman Design Hosts Victorian PGA | January 18, 2007 |

The National Australia Bank (NAB) has agreed to a sponsorship extension while also upgrading its role in the nab 2007 Victorian PGA Championship. The tournament is being staged January 25-28 at Sanctuary Lakes, a par-72 course designed by PGA Golfer of the Century Greg Norman.
Preceding the 2007 nab Victorian PGA Championship will provide something extra special for at least 30 juniors from the western suburbs of Melbourne. This lucky group of kids will take part in a Junior Pro Am at Sanctuary Lakes. The juniors will be joined by a number of the state's leading PGA professionals competing in the NAB-sponsored Victorian PGA Championship.
The nab 2007 Victorian PGA Championship is part of the Von Nida Tour and consists of a schedule of 10 events, each with prize money of about $100,000. |

Norman Commits To Dubai Desert Classic | January 15, 2007 |

Former world No.1 Greg Norman will make his first tournament appearance of the year at next month's Dubai Desert Classic. The 51-year-old Australian will join the likes of Tiger Woods, Ernie Els and Colin Montgomerie in a strong European Tour field at the Emirates Golf Club February 1-4.
"The presence of a colorful personality like Norman will certainly spice up the flavor of our tournament," said Mohamed Juma Buamaim, vice chairman of golf in Dubai, in a news release.
"With players like Greg and Tiger, we couldn't have asked for a better field."
