Greg Norman Collection To Be Retailed Through Planet Sports | June 23, 2008 |

Gurgaon based franchiser - Better Than Before (BTB) India, sole licensee for Greg Norman Collection (GNC) in India, has entered into a marketing/distribution agreement with Future Group's Planet Sports, a sports lifestyle retail chain. Through this agreement, BTB will provide an exclusive range of GNC at Planet Sports stores across India.
Greg Norman Collection is a golf lifestyle apparel and accessories brand. The brand has an exclusive brand store in Gurgaon and retails from over 32 countries around the world.
The entire range offered by Greg Norman Collection in India will be retailed through Planet Sports' multibranded specialty stores in Chandigarh, Pune, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Gurgaon and Kolkata. The brand will also sell through its exclusive brand outlets across the country.
"The partnership fits well with our strategy to partner with leading the sports lifestyle retail formats to further our reach throughout the Indian market. Both Planet Sports and BTB are committed to bring the best and latest technologically advanced sports and lifestyle brands to India", said Rahul Singh, CEO, Better Than before (BTB).
The company plans to set up 10 exclusive Greg Norman Collection outlets by the end of this year and take the number to 50 in the next five years. BTB is also mulling over introducing MacGregor golf equipment in Indian market soon through golf course pro-shops and sport specialty stores.

Fairmont To Build $100 Million Hotel At The Wave Muscat | June 13, 2008 |

Canada-based Fairmont Hotels and Resorts, controlled by Saudi billionaire Prince Alwaleed, signed a deal to build a $100 million hotel in Oman. The hotel will be part of the Wave Muscat development, a project which will include an 18-hole golf course designed by Greg Norman.
The Wave Muscat is 1 billion rial joint venture between Oman's Waterfront Investments, National Investment Funds Co and UAE's Majid Al Futtaim Group.

Former world No. 1 Greg Norman on Friday called Torrey Pines South, the host course for next week's U.S. Open, "the toughest, fairest test" he had ever seen for an Open course.
Norman was at Torrey Pines serving as Matt Lauer's caddie in the U.S. Open Amateur Challenge. Lauer shot 100.
