Vellano Model Homes Unveiled | May 23, 2005 |
CHINO HILLS, Calif. -- Vellano, the upscale country-club community
featuring a Greg Norman-designed golf course, last weekend unveiled its
portfolio of semi-custom homes from the community's three master builders.
Barratt American Homes, Brookfield Homes and Shea Homes gave an exclusive
first look to members of Vellano Country Club last Friday. The 3,000 people
on the interest list then got the chance to meet the builders Saturday and
Sunday.
To date, 229 people already have joined the country club, even though the
golf course will not open until 2006.
Homes at Vellano range from $1.1 million to more than $2 million, with
presales set to begin this summer and model homes to open late this year.
Homesites will be priced from $600,000 and up. |

ChampionsGate Commences Villas Construction (The Ledger) | May 16, 2005 |
CHAMPIONSGATE, Fla. -- Work has just begun on The Villas at ChampionsGate,
a new addition to the Four Corners area. The initial phase of the
condominium hotel is scheduled to be complete by Spring 2006 and will be
managed by Omni Orlando Resort at ChampionsGate, which opened in October.
Rida Associates of Orlando is overseeing construction.
The first building will be comprised of 57 units featuring twoand
three-bedroom, privatelyowned villas. Each unit runs from 1,424 to 2,260
square feet, and buyers can select from a total of five floor plans (two
for two-bedroom, two for three-bedroom, one penthouse). Prices range from
$489,000 to more than $1.3 million.
The Villas offers resort-style living and access to ChampionsGate's two
Greg Norman-designed golf courses, said Allison Pope, a spokeswoman for the

Construction Begins On Villas At ChampionsGate | May 12, 2005 |
The developers of ChampionsGate started construction today on the first
phase of The Villas at ChampionsGate, a new condominium hotel that will
become a part of the Omni Orlando Resort at ChampionsGate.
Villas will be aimed at giving vacationers to the world-class golf resort
the space and comforts of home, all in a setting that will include the
amenities of a luxury hotel. The new vacation villas will expand the
leisure and executive business market for ChampionsGate.
The condo hotel units in The Villas at ChampionsGate will be an extension
of the successful Omni Orlando Resort, a new 730-room hotel that opened in
the fall of 2004. Owners and guests in the condo hotel will have the
privilege of using all of the Omni Orlando Resort's amenities, including
the 10,000 square-foot European-style spa, three pools and upscale dining
at Zen, David's Club and Trevi's. Guests can take advantage of the world
headquarters of the David Leadbetter Golf Academy as well as the two Greg
Norman-designed golf courses on property. |

New Suburb Closer To Reality | May 12, 2005 |
Sydney's suburban sprawl took another step closer to the Hawkesbury last
Wednesday, when Premier Bob Carr announced details of a new suburb to be
built near Marsden Park.
Called Colebee, the new suburb will be a $600 million development of 190
hectares of land. The suburb will feature 1,000 lots for homes, along with
100 hectares of park, lakes and recreational spaces.
The development will also include a village centre, world-class conference
facilities and an 18-hole golf course designed by Greg Norman. Assistant
Planning Minister Diane Beamer said Medallist Developments had signed a
funding agreement for Sydney's developing suburbs. |

The opening of the new Ritz Carlton Grand Cayman, which features a Greg Norman-designed golf course, has pushed back its opening date to the end of
this October as it is still repairing damage left by Hurricane Ivan last
fall. |
