Shark And Italian Design Firm In Partnership (ArabianBusiness.com) | May 7, 2007 |

The interiors of the signature villas on the Jumeirah Golf Estates
Residential Community will be based on the four elements: Fire, Earth,
Water and Wind, while a fifth style will be influenced by B&B Italia's
contemporary range, the 'Maxalto Collection'.
The 66 'Rosewood' villas have been designed by Greg Norman and will
feature interiors by B&B Italia Contract Division which specialises in
furnishing complete commercial projects such as hotels, offices and
retail spaces as well as cruise liners. On the design Greg Norman
said: "I have been very hands-on with the design of 'Rosewood', as I
am with all of the projects I undertake. It has been great to allow my
imagination to run free in a new direction with the design of these
homes."
B&B Italia Contract Division will provide an on-site design centre to
allow buyers optional packages which will see them design and fit out
the whole house based on the five signature styles. Roberto Barbazza,
marketing director of B&B Italia said: "The design centre will allow
clients to choose a theme as well as mix and match styles."
While the colours and interiors of four out of the five styles will
reflect the elements, the 'Maxalto Collection' inspired villas will
feature contemporary classic interiors with a fusion of European and
Arabesque influences. Barbazza said: "The lighting scheme of the
'Maxalto Collection' was inspired by the lighting at the Madinat while
the large tiles in the bathroom and kitchen as well as marble clad
walls and generous use of oak will add to the typically Italian feel."
Bang & Olufsen will equip all of the villas with state-of-the-art
electronics which will include the BeoSound 9000 multi-CD music
system, a 40" BeoVision 7 LCD television in the living room, a 32"
BeoVision 7 LCD television in the master bedroom and a pair of BeoVox
1 ceiling speakers in the breakfast area. |

Proposed Norman Course Course One Step Closer (Illawarra Mercury, Australia) | May 7, 2007 |
For more than 40 years, men made their living from hauling coal from
land alongside Avondale Road in Huntley.
Now developers hope to make their money above the ground, after a
proposal to transform the environmentally sensitive bushscape into a
sprawling golf course and eco-tourism facility was given initial
approval last night.
The proposal before Wollongong city councillors was to merge 20 sites
and rezone land now occupied by the former Huntley and Avondale
collieries to clear the way for an eventual 18-hole golf course,
boutique hotel, ecotourism accommodation and funicular railway.
The plan has the approval of sporting icon Greg Norman, who has toured
the site and even allowed his name to be attached to the facility.
